1. What this policy covers
This policy governs content you upload to KeyZup, including portfolio photos on a provider profile, completed-job images, and other images or media you share through the platform. It applies in addition to the Acceptable Use & Communications Policy and the Terms of Service.
2. Ownership
You keep ownership of the content you upload. This policy does not transfer ownership of your photos or other content to KeyZup. You remain responsible for your content.
3. Licence you grant to KeyZup
To operate the service, you grant KeyZup a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format, and distribute the content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, and promote the parts of the service where you chose to place it (for example, displaying your portfolio on your provider profile). This licence:
- is limited to operating the service and does not make your content KeyZup's property;
- lasts while your content is on the platform and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, records, and legal compliance; and
- ends for active display when you remove the content or close your account, subject to the retention and residual-copy realities described below.
You also grant KeyZup permission to make technical modifications (such as resizing or reformatting) needed to display and store the content.
4. You must have permission to upload
You represent that, for every item you upload, you either own it or have all rights and permissions needed to upload it and to grant the licence above, and that the content does not infringe anyone's rights or violate any law. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.
5. Privacy in job images — what you must not include
Unless you have the clear, informed permission of the person or property owner involved, do not upload content that shows:
- customer faces or other identifiable images of people;
- addresses, unit numbers, or other location identifiers that reveal where a customer lives or works;
- licence plates or vehicle identifiers;
- keys cut for a specific customer, key codes, or key blanks tied to a customer; or
- access codes — lock, alarm, safe, gate, or similar credentials.
This applies even to completed-job images. If in doubt, crop, blur, or omit the identifying detail, or do not upload the image. Access credentials must never appear in portfolio or job content under any circumstances.
6. Completed-job images
Images presented as completed-job work must accurately represent work you performed. Do not present others' work as your own, stage misleading "before/after" content, or imply an outcome you did not achieve. Completed-job images remain subject to the privacy rules in Section 5.
7. Copyright and third-party rights
Do not upload content that infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, or other rights. Claims of copyright infringement are handled under the Copyright & Takedown Policy. Repeat infringers may lose access to the platform.
8. Prohibited content
Content that violates the Acceptable Use & Communications Policy — including harassment, illegal services, sexually explicit material, malware, impersonation, and misuse of customer information — is prohibited in portfolios and images as well.
9. Removal and moderation
KeyZup may, but is not obligated to, review, restrict, or remove content, and may limit or suspend accounts for violations. KeyZup does not pre-screen or continuously monitor uploaded content and does not guarantee review. You can remove your own content at any time; removal stops active display but may not immediately purge backups or records retained for legal or operational reasons.
10. Reports and takedowns
Any user may report content they believe violates this policy or infringes their rights. Copyright complaints follow the notice-and-takedown process in the Copyright & Takedown Policy. Other reports are reviewed at KeyZup's discretion under this policy and the Acceptable Use & Communications Policy.
11. Private message images are never automatically public
Images shared inside a private conversation are not automatically added to your public portfolio or profile and are not made public by KeyZup. Content only appears on a public surface if you deliberately place it there (for example, by adding it to your portfolio). Choosing to make content public is your decision and your responsibility.
12. "Verified job" badge
Where shown, a "verified job" indicator is derived by KeyZup's servers from platform records (for example, that a job record exists and reached a completed state in our system). It is not a manual inspection of the work, a quality rating, or a guarantee. It is not set by the provider and cannot be self-applied. The badge reflects only the limited, point-in-time signal our records support and may be removed or changed if underlying records change.
13. No guarantee of work quality
Portfolio content is provided by independent providers to showcase their work. KeyZup does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the quality, accuracy, or outcome of any work shown in a portfolio. Portfolio images are not a promise of results. Providers are independent and are solely responsible for their work, licences, insurance, and conduct.
